วันที่ 27 ตุลาคม 2568 นายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงมหาดไทย พร้อมด้วยนายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เข้าร่วมการประชุมสุดยอดเอเชียตะวันออก (East Asia Summit: EAS) ครั้งที่ 20 ในระหว่างการประชุมสุดยอดอาเซียน ครั้งที่ 47 และการประชุมสุดยอดที่เกี่ยวข้อง ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ประเทศมาเลเซีย โดยมีผู้นำหรือผู้แทนจากประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน และคู่เจรจาเข้าร่วม

ที่ประชุมหารือแนวทางเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือภายใต้กรอบ EAS เพื่อตอบสนองต่อความท้าทายในภูมิภาค และแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นต่อสถานการณ์สำคัญในภูมิภาคและระหว่างประเทศ อาทิ เมียนมา ทะเลจีนใต้ คาบสมุทรเกาหลี และตะวันออกกลาง พร้อมทั้งรับรอง ปฏิญญากรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ 20 ปีของ EAS และ แถลงการณ์ผู้นำฯ ว่าด้วยการส่งเสริมการเตรียมพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติในระดับพื้นที่

นายกรัฐมนตรีเน้นย้ำบทบาทของ EAS ในการส่งเสริมสันติภาพ เสถียรภาพ และความเจริญรุ่งเรืองของภูมิภาค พร้อมยึดมั่นในหลักการการเป็นเพื่อนบ้านที่ดี การแก้ไขข้อพิพาทโดยสันติวิธี และการธำรงความเป็นแกนกลางและเอกภาพของอาเซียน ท่ามกลางความผันผวนทางภูมิรัฐศาสตร์และความท้าทายข้ามพรมแดน โดยเฉพาะปัญหาการหลอกลวงทางออนไลน์

Prime Minister Attends East Asia Summit, Underscores EAS Role in Promoting Peace and Stability

Yesterday (27 October 2025), Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul , together with Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the 20th East Asia Summit (EAS) held in conjunction with the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Leaders and representatives from ASEAN Member States and Dialogue Partners also participated.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation under the EAS framework in addressing regional challenges and exchanged views on key regional and international issues, including the situations in Myanmar, the South China Sea, the Korean Peninsula, and the Middle East. It also adopted the Kuala Lumpur Declaration on the 20th Anniversary of the EAS and the EAS Leaders’ Statement on Promoting Localization in Anticipatory Action for Disaster Preparedness and Response.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the EAS’s role in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region, underscoring the principles of good neighbourliness, the peaceful resolution of conflicts, and ASEAN Centrality and unity amid geopolitical uncertainties and transboundary challenges, particularly online scam operations.
