นายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรี พบหารือกับ นายหวัง เสี่ยวฮุย เลขาธิการพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์จีนประจำมณฑลเสฉวน ณ นครเฉิงตู โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายเห็นพ้องยกระดับความร่วมมือด้านการค้า การลงทุน วิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี นวัตกรรม การท่องเที่ยว และความร่วมมือระดับท้องถิ่น เพื่อเชื่อมโยงเศรษฐกิจไทยกับตลาดจีนตะวันตก ซึ่งมีศักยภาพการเติบโตสูง

นายกรัฐมนตรีชี้ว่า มณฑลเสฉวนซึ่งมีประชากรกว่า 80 ล้านคน เป็นทั้งตลาดสำคัญสำหรับสินค้าไทยและแหล่งนักลงทุนคุณภาพ โดยรัฐบาลไทยได้เปิดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการลงทุนประจำนครเฉิงตู เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกและดึงดูดการลงทุนในอุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมาย เช่น ยานยนต์ไฟฟ้า (EV) ดิจิทัล อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ เทคโนโลยีขั้นสูง และพลังงานสะอาด ซึ่งจะช่วยสร้างงาน พัฒนาทักษะแรงงาน และยกระดับฐานการผลิตของไทย

นอกจากนี้ นายกรัฐมนตรียังได้พบผู้ประกอบการจีนที่ลงทุนหรือมีแผนขยายธุรกิจในไทย พร้อมยืนยันว่ารัฐบาลพร้อมสนับสนุนการลงทุนอย่างเต็มที่ ขณะที่มีผู้ประกอบการไทยกว่า 150 ราย เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมทางเศรษฐกิจในนครเฉิงตู เพื่อแสวงหาโอกาสทางการค้าและขยายตลาดสู่ภูมิภาคตะวันตกของจีน

PM Strengthens Thailand–Sichuan Partnership to Expand Trade, Attract Technology Investment, and Create New Opportunities for the Thai People

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul met with Mr. Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, in Chengdu, where both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, science, technology, innovation, tourism, and subnational partnerships. The discussions focused on deepening economic ties between Thailand and western China and expanding opportunities for bilateral growth.

The Prime Minister highlighted Sichuan Province, with a population of more than 80 million, as both a major market for Thai products and a valuable source of investment. He emphasized the opening of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) Office in Chengdu, which will facilitate investment in priority industries such as electric vehicles (EVs), electronics, digital technology, advanced manufacturing, and clean energy. These investments are expected to create jobs, enhance workforce skills, promote technology transfer, and strengthen Thailand's industrial base.

During the visit, the Prime Minister also met with several Chinese companies that have invested or plan to expand their operations in Thailand, reaffirming the Thai government's commitment to supporting foreign investors. More than 150 Thai business representatives also participated in economic activities in Chengdu, reflecting growing interest in western China's market and creating new opportunities for Thai exports, business partnerships, and investment cooperation.
