ประเทศไทย พร้อมเป็นเจ้าภาพ IMF-World Bank ปี 2569 เตรียมแผนสื่อสารครบวงจร เสนอไทยสู่สายตาโลก

ประเทศไทยเดินหน้าจัดเตรียมการประชุมประจำปีของคณะผู้ว่าการกองทุนการเงินระหว่างประเทศ (IMF) และกลุ่มธนาคารโลก (WBG) ประจำปี 2026 ซึ่งมีกำหนดจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 12–18 ตุลาคม 2569 ณ กรุงเทพมหานคร โดยมีการประชุมคณะทำงานด้านการประชาสัมพันธ์ครั้งที่ 2 ประจำปี 2568 เพื่อทบทวนแผนยุทธศาสตร์การสื่อสาร และประสานความร่วมมือระหว่างหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องเพื่อรองรับงานระดับนานาชาติครั้งนี้

ธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย (ธปท.) รายงานความคืบหน้าในการดำเนินแผนยุทธศาสตร์การสื่อสาร ซึ่งพัฒนาร่วมกับบริษัทที่ปรึกษา Ogilvy โดยเริ่มดำเนินการตั้งแต่เดือนกรกฎาคม 2568 โดยแผนดังกล่าวครอบคลุมเนื้อหาการสื่อสาร ช่องทางการเผยแพร่ และกิจกรรมสื่อสารมวลชน ทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ

การประชุมยังเน้นย้ำการทำงานร่วมกันระหว่างหน่วยงานภาครัฐในการจัดทำเนื้อหาสื่อสาร เช่น ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับวัฒนธรรมไทย การท่องเที่ยว และสถาปัตยกรรมแบบไทย เพื่อใช้ในการประชาสัมพันธ์ผ่านช่องทางต่าง ๆ อาทิ Facebook, วิทยุ โทรทัศน์ และสื่อกลางแจ้ง

เว็บไซต์ “Host Government Website” ซึ่งอยู่ระหว่างการพัฒนาโดยสำนักงานเศรษฐกิจการคลังร่วมกับ ธปท. จะเป็นศูนย์กลางการสื่อสารข้อมูลข่าวสารที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการประชุม

กิจกรรมที่เสนอให้ผู้แทนเข้าร่วมในระหว่างการประชุม ได้แก่ การทำกิจกรรมจิตอาสาที่อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์พระนครศรีอยุธยา และการปลูกต้นไม้ที่พิพิธภัณฑ์การเกษตรเฉลิมพระเกียรติฯ จังหวัดปทุมธานี

กระทรวงการต่างประเทศเสนอให้มีการสื่อสารกับสื่อมวลชนต่างประเทศอย่างเข้มข้น เช่น การจัดสัมภาษณ์ การร่วมมือกับสื่อ และการนำเสนอข่าวผ่านสำนักข่าวต่างประเทศ นอกจากนี้ ยังอยู่ระหว่างการพิจารณาเผยแพร่ข้อมูลผ่านรายการวิทยุรายสัปดาห์ และสื่อดิจิทัลในที่สาธารณะ

กรุงเทพมหานครยืนยันการสนับสนุนการสื่อสารในพื้นที่ และเสนอให้จัดสัมภาษณ์ผู้ว่าราชการกรุงเทพมหานครก่อนครบวาระในเดือนมิถุนายน 2569

ทั้งนี้ ยังมีแผนจัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมภาพลักษณ์ประเทศไทยในต่างประเทศ โดยจะตั้งบูธ “Thailand” ที่กรุงวอชิงตัน ดี.ซี. และจัดนิทรรศการวัฒนธรรมในชื่อ “ศาลาไทย” 3 ครั้ง ณ ศูนย์การประชุมแห่งชาติสิริกิติ์ โดยหน่วยงานภาครัฐหลายแห่งจะร่วมมือกันจัดกิจกรรมเหล่านี้เพื่อแสดงศักยภาพและความเป็นไทยสู่สายตาประชาคมโลก

Thailand Gears Up to Host 2026 IMF-World Bank with Comprehensive Communications Plan to Showcase Nation Globally

Thailand is moving ahead with plans to host the 2026 Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG), scheduled to take place from October 12 to 18 in Bangkok. A second meeting of the 2025 Public Relations Working Group was recently held to review communication strategies and coordinate interagency efforts for the high-level event.

The Bank of Thailand (BOT) has reported progress on its communications strategy, which was developed in collaboration with the consultancy firm Ogilvy. Launched in July 2025, the plan involves messaging, outreach channels, and media activities targeting both domestic and international audiences.

The meeting also addressed cross-agency collaboration on content and outreach. Government agencies were encouraged to provide material related to Thai culture, tourism, and traditional architecture for promotional use. Communication channels such as Facebook, radio, television, and public displays will support visibility. A “Host Government Website,” currently under development by the Fiscal Policy Office and BOT, will serve as the leading portal for event updates.

Proposed activities for visiting delegates include volunteer work at Ayutthaya Historical Park and tree-planting at the Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture in Pathum Thani. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommended international media outreach, including partnerships, interviews, and coverage through foreign news outlets. Weekly radio segments and digital signage are also under consideration.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration confirmed its support for local communications and suggested an interview with the Bangkok Governor before his term ends in June 2026. Promotional efforts will extend abroad, with a Thailand booth planned in Washington, D.C., and three cultural exhibitions titled “Sala Thai” to be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Government agencies will contribute to these efforts to help present Thailand to a global audience.
