ครม.ไฟเขียว ต่อวีซ่าพิเศษ 6 เดือน แรงงานกัมพูชา ยกเว้นค่าปรับอยู่เกินกำหนด

คณะรัฐมนตรีมีมติเห็นชอบข้อเสนอของกระทรวงแรงงาน ให้แรงงานสัญชาติกัมพูชาจำนวนประมาณ 47,000 คนใน 7 จังหวัดชายแดน ที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากการลดเวลาการเปิด-ปิดจุดผ่านแดน หลังเกิดเหตุปะทะบริเวณช่องบก จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี สามารถอยู่และทำงานในประเทศไทยได้ต่ออีก 6 เดือน โดยนับย้อนหลังตั้งแต่วันที่ 7 มิถุนายน 2568 เป็นต้นไป

ทั้งนี้ มีแรงงานจำนวนมากที่เข้ามาทำงานด้วยบัตรผ่านแดน (border pass) และไม่สามารถเดินทางกลับประเทศเพื่อขออนุญาตใหม่ได้ทัน ทำให้พำนักเกินระยะเวลาที่กำหนด ทางรัฐบาลจึงเห็นชอบให้ขยายระยะเวลาการพำนัก และยกเว้นค่าปรับในช่วง 6 เดือนดังกล่าว

แรงงานสามารถยื่นขอใบอนุญาตทำงานใหม่ได้ที่สำนักงานจัดหางานในพื้นที่ หรือผ่านระบบออนไลน์ของกระทรวงแรงงาน โดยมีค่าธรรมเนียมใบสมัคร 100 บาท และค่าธรรมเนียมใบอนุญาตทำงาน 225 บาท รวม 325 บาท

นอกจากนี้ แรงงานกัมพูชาที่ไม่ได้อยู่ในระบบประกันสังคม จะต้องสมัครประกันสุขภาพกับกระทรวงสาธารณสุขก่อนจึงจะสามารถได้รับหรือขยายใบอนุญาตทำงานได้ โดยจะได้รับสิทธิประกันสุขภาพในช่วงเวลา 3 เดือนต่อครั้ง

Cabinet Approves Special 6-Month Visa Extension for Cambodian Workers, Waives Overstay Penalties

The Thai Cabinet has approved a Labour Ministry proposal to allow approximately 47,000 Cambodian workers in seven border provinces to remain and work in Thailand for an additional six months. The decision follows reduced border crossing hours after a skirmish near Chong Bok in Ubon Ratchathani province. The extension is retroactively effective from June 7, 2025.

Many of these workers entered Thailand with border passes and were unable to return to Cambodia in time to renew their permits due to the limited operational hours at border checkpoints. As a result, they overstayed their allowed period. The government has therefore decided to grant a six-month extension and waive overstay penalties during this period.

Cambodian workers can apply for new work permits either at local employment offices or via the Labour Ministry’s online platform. The application fee is 100 baht, and the work permit fee is 225 baht, totaling 325 baht.

In addition, Cambodian workers who are not enrolled in the Thai social security system are required to purchase health insurance from the Public Health Ministry before their work permits can be approved or extended. The health insurance coverage is provided in three-month terms.
