ไทยเดินหน้าบริหารจัดการแรงงานข้ามชาติ ขยายใบอนุญาตทำงานถึงปี 2570

คณะรัฐมนตรีมีมติเห็นชอบมาตรการเดินหน้าบริหารจัดการแรงงานข้ามชาติอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยขยายระยะเวลาใบอนุญาตทำงานให้แก่แรงงานจากลาว เมียนมา และเวียดนามที่มีคุณสมบัติตามหลักเกณฑ์ออกไปอีก 1 ปี เพื่อสนับสนุนความต่อเนื่องของภาคแรงงานและรองรับความต้องการกำลังคนของประเทศ

มาตรการดังกล่าวเปิดทางให้แรงงานที่มีใบอนุญาตทำงานซึ่งจะสิ้นสุดในวันที่ 11 ธันวาคม 2569 สามารถทำงานในประเทศไทยได้อย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมายต่อเนื่องจนถึงวันที่ 11 ธันวาคม 2570

นายจุลพันธ์ อมรวิวัฒน์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน กล่าวว่า มาตรการนี้จะครอบคลุมแรงงานประมาณ 770,000 คน ที่ประสบปัญหาในการจัดทำหนังสือเดินทางหรือเอกสารเดินทางทดแทน โดยผู้ประสงค์จะใช้สิทธิ์ต้องดำเนินการตามขั้นตอนที่กำหนด รวมถึงการจัดทำเอกสารเดินทางและการรับรองวีซ่าภายในระยะเวลาที่กำหนด

ระหว่างรอการออกบัตร Smart Card ถาวร แรงงานจะได้รับใบอนุญาตทำงานชั่วคราวเพื่อใช้เป็นหลักฐานการทำงานอย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมาย ทั้งนี้ มาตรการดังกล่าวจะมีผลบังคับใช้หลังจากกระทรวงมหาดไทยและกระทรวงแรงงานออกประกาศที่เกี่ยวข้องแล้ว

Thailand Strengthens Migrant Workforce Management, Extends Work Permits Until 2027

Thailand's Cabinet has approved a one-year extension of work permits for eligible migrant workers from Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam as part of the country's continued efforts to strengthen migrant workforce management and support labour market stability.

Under the measure, workers whose permits are valid until December 11, 2026, will be allowed to continue working legally in Thailand until December 11, 2027.

Labour Minister Julapun Amornvivat said the extension is expected to benefit around 770,000 workers who have faced difficulties obtaining passports or equivalent travel documents. Eligible workers must complete the required procedures, including securing travel documents and visa endorsements, within the specified timeframe.

While awaiting the issuance of permanent Smart Card work permits, eligible workers will receive temporary work permits as proof of their legal employment. The measure will take effect once the relevant notifications are issued by the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Labour.
