ครม. เห็นชอบปฏิญญาการเมือง สนับสนุนการพัฒนาเมืองอย่างยั่งยืน

คณะรัฐมนตรีมีมติเห็นชอบร่างปฏิญญาการเมืองฉบับแรก (Zero Draft) เพื่อยืนยันการสนับสนุนของไทยในการเร่งดำเนินการตามวาระการพัฒนาเมืองใหม่ (New Urban Agenda) นอกจากนี้ ครม. ยังได้มอบอำนาจให้หัวหน้าคณะผู้แทนไทยรับรองปฏิญญาดังกล่าวในการประชุมระดับสูงว่าด้วยการทบทวนวาระการพัฒนาเมืองใหม่ระยะกึ่งกลาง ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้น ณ สำนักงานใหญ่สหประชาชาติ นครนิวยอร์ก ระหว่างวันที่ 16-17 กรกฎาคม

ปฏิญญาดังกล่าวกำหนดลำดับความสำคัญ 7 ประการด้านการพัฒนาเมืองอย่างยั่งยืน ครอบคลุมการลดความเหลื่อมล้ำ การแก้ไขปัญหาที่อยู่อาศัย การสนับสนุนกลุ่มเปราะบาง การส่งเสริมการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจผ่านวิสาหกิจขนาดกลางและขนาดย่อม การพัฒนาทักษะแรงงาน การเสริมสร้างความพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติ การเพิ่มบทบาทของรัฐบาลท้องถิ่น การส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมของภาคเอกชนและภาคประชาสังคม ตลอดจนการประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลและปัญญาประดิษฐ์ในการบริหารจัดการเมือง

นางพัชราศม์ ทองสลวยกรณ์ รองโฆษกประจำสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี กล่าวว่า ปฏิญญาดังกล่าวจะได้รับการรับรองโดยไม่มีพิธีลงนามอย่างเป็นทางการ การเข้าร่วมของไทยจะช่วยเปิดโอกาสในการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ แนวปฏิบัติที่ดี และเทคโนโลยี รวมถึงขยายความร่วมมือด้านการพัฒนาเมืองอย่างยั่งยืน ทั้งนี้ รัฐบาลระบุว่า ปฏิญญาฉบับนี้จะเป็นแนวทางสำคัญในการกำหนดนโยบายด้านการวางผังเมือง ที่อยู่อาศัย และการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนของประเทศไทยในอนาคต โดยจะมีการติดตามผลการดำเนินงานผ่านกลไกที่จัดตั้งขึ้นร่วมกับองค์การสหประชาชาติเพื่อประเมินความก้าวหน้าและความรับผิดชอบในการดำเนินงาน

Cabinet Approves Political Declaration Supporting Sustainable Urban Development

The Cabinet has approved the first Political Declaration (Zero Draft), reaffirming Thailand's support for accelerating the implementation of the New Urban Agenda. The Cabinet also authorized the head of the Thai delegation to endorse the declaration at the High-Level Meeting on the Midterm Review of the New Urban Agenda at United Nations Headquarters in New York on July 16-17.

The declaration sets out seven priorities for sustainable urban development, including reducing inequality, addressing housing challenges, supporting vulnerable groups, promoting economic growth through small and medium-sized enterprises, improving workforce skills, enhancing disaster resilience, expanding the role of local governments, encouraging participation from the private sector and civil society, and applying digital technology and artificial intelligence to urban management.

Deputy Government Spokesperson Patdarasm Thongsaluaykorn said the declaration will be adopted without a formal signing ceremony. Thailand’s participation is expected to create opportunities for the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and technology while expanding cooperation in sustainable urban development.

The government added that the declaration will help guide future urban planning, housing, and sustainable development policies in Thailand, with implementation monitored through mechanisms established in cooperation with the United Nations.
