นายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรี กล่าวถ้อยแถลงในพิธีเปิดการประชุมปัญญาประดิษฐ์โลก ค.ศ. 2026 (WAIC 2026) ณ นครเซี่ยงไฮ้ สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน เมื่อวันที่ 17 กรกฎาคม ภายใต้หัวข้อ “AI Partnership for a Brighter Future” โดยระบุว่า AI กำลังเปลี่ยนแปลงวิถีชีวิตของผู้คนทั่วโลก และทุกประเทศต้องร่วมกันกำหนดทิศทางการพัฒนาอย่างมีความรับผิดชอบ นายกรัฐมนตรีชื่นชมบทบาทของจีนในการผลักดันความร่วมมือด้านธรรมาภิบาล AI ระดับนานาชาติ รวมถึงข้อริเริ่มจัดตั้งองค์การความร่วมมือด้านปัญญาประดิษฐ์โลก และการสนับสนุนการหารือด้านธรรมาภิบาล AI ของสหประชาชาติ พร้อมเสนอหลักการสำคัญ 3 ประการ ได้แก่ การคุ้มครองประชาชน การปลดล็อกศักยภาพ และการสร้างความเจริญรุ่งเรืองร่วมกัน นายกรัฐมนตรีเน้นย้ำการคุ้มครองสิทธิมนุษยชนและความเป็นส่วนตัว การส่งเสริมนวัตกรรมผ่านสถาบันที่เชื่อถือได้และโครงสร้างพื้นฐานดิจิทัล รวมถึงการใช้ AI เพื่อสนับสนุนการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน นอกจากนี้ ยังกล่าวถึงความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับ UNODC ในการพัฒนาแพลตฟอร์ม “SHIELD” เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลข้ามพรมแดนเกี่ยวกับอาชญากรรมออนไลน์และการค้ามนุษย์ พร้อมยืนยันความพร้อมของไทยในการขับเคลื่อนธรรมาภิบาล AI ผ่าน AI Governance Practice Center และส่งเสริมให้ AI เป็นเวทีแห่งความร่วมมือของประชาคมโลก ไม่ใช่เครื่องมือของการแข่งขันทางภูมิรัฐศาสตร์.

PM Anutin Calls for Responsible AI Governance at WAIC 2026 in Shanghai

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul addressed the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai, China, on July 17 under the theme “AI Partnership for a Brighter Future.” He said AI is transforming every aspect of people's lives and stressed that countries must work together to ensure its development is guided by responsible governance.

PM Anutin welcomed China's efforts to strengthen international cooperation on AI governance, including the proposed World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization and support for the United Nations Global Dialogue on AI Governance. He outlined three key principles for AI governance: Protection, Potential, and Prosperity.

The Prime Minister emphasized safeguarding human rights and privacy, supporting innovation through trusted institutions and digital infrastructure, and ensuring AI contributes to sustainable development and shared prosperity. He also highlighted Thailand's cooperation with UNODC on the “SHIELD” platform to combat cybercrime and human trafficking through cross-border information sharing.

Finally, he reaffirmed Thailand's commitment to advancing practical AI governance through the AI Governance Practice Center and called for AI to serve as a platform for global cooperation rather than geopolitical competition.
