PM Anutin Meets Huawei Executives to Expand AI and Digital Cooperation

BEIJING (NNT) – Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul met with senior Huawei executives in Beijing on July 19, 2026, to discuss expanding cooperation and investment in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud services, digital technology, and workforce development in Thailand.

Prior to the meeting, the Prime Minister toured Huawei’s technology and innovation exhibition at the Huawei Beijing Executive Briefing Center. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working with Huawei as both an investor and technology partner to advance Thailand toward an AI-driven economy and highlighted the role of technology in improving public services, education, healthcare, agriculture, and employment opportunities.

The Prime Minister also emphasized Thailand’s support for investment in future industries, including AI, semiconductors, data centers, cloud systems, and high-speed communications. Huawei executives noted the company’s more than 20 years of operations in Thailand and its continued investment in digital-skills centers, cloud services, data centers, and regional headquarters.

Both sides agreed to strengthen digital-skills development through Huawei ICT Academy Thailand and expand cloud and AI cooperation with government agencies and universities to support wider technology adoption and workforce development.
